New fun with Rural Metro Ambulance

I went to the VA for an 11AM  medical appointment.  While at the VA they decided to give me an EKG which found I was having PVC s which was/is lowering my blood pressure too low.  The called Rural Metro for a non-urgent ambulance transfer.  The crew that showed up was a nice young Mutt and Jeff team .  Never did get there names. Mutt was a short lady and Jeff was a tall real young guy. They had to ask the V A staff to help pull up the gurney.  (I am 6'2 and 390) The gurney had a real nice O2 bottle to put my feet on and my knees where higher than my head. The staff  texted most of the short trip.  (I got the impression  they really wanted to not be on a transfer) When we got there they had the staff help them drop the gurney so I could get out. I have never seen so many people in one ER,  Lots of Ambulance crews seemed to be standing around watching things and lots and lots of people in the hallway. (I don't know what groups they were from) I got a room but was not sick enough to be a priority.  It took till 10 PM to get a regular room.  They were very nice and took good care of me.  So I am in the hospital as of now with  three doctors and one diagnosis ; untreated CPOD and weight.  They are going to put me on some injected lung steroids and two inhalers.  The inhalers will go home with me. Need to walk more and may have found a combo that will reduce my hip pain so I can ride and walk more. Right now it appears that I need to lose some water weight then get serious on real weight.

Things in Yuma that are driving me nuts.

     I am about to going crazy about two things that one really shouldn't obsess over.  They just arrested 5 guys in the small town south of us for gunrunning.  They were part of the large group the ICE arrested around the country; because of the shooting in Mexico where they lost one of their agents and another wounded. (Boy is that a run on sentence)  The odd part of this is that in November ICE filmed them buying transporting and selling the gun that was used to kill their agent.  What the hell were they thinking!  I cannot understand how you would think that is worthwhile to allow crimes to go on when you can stop them.  Unexpected /unintended consequences will bite you every time.  I would not want to explain to the family of that ICE agent ,how he came to die because we allowed the gun to be smuggled into Mexico.
     The other thing driving me nuts is feral cats.  I don't much care for cats as a general rule though I have had some really cool ones. Yuma is inundated with feral cats in many areas, especially where the winter residents/visitors abide.  [ I was at Walmart putting dog food in my car when,I was approached by an older gentleman." Got food for the doggies huh?" "yeah I've 2 big dogs at home." "Didn't you buy any food for the kitties?" "Don't have any cats."  "Well what about all the kitties in your neighbourhood?" "Don't have any, the dogs drive them off" "Well that's sad those poor little kitties need to eat!"  "I don't feed feral cats!"  "Well you should they need fed!" "We're done here, You are the reason all those cats destroy people homes and neighbourhoods, I'm leaving"  I was so angry I really wanted to hit this old man, He must have been my age!  How do people get so stupid about pests. You don't see them feeding the palm cockroaches, they are as big as a small cat some places.  The city council has been working now for 3 months to pass a licence law for cats exactly the same as for dogs.  They are also working  on a trap neuter and release program, something has to be done. Some neighbourhoods you can't even walk in your yard, because the cats will challenge you.  That's on top of the urine and feces.  Yes we should feed the cats , but what to feed them.
     So between stupid cops and stupid old coots I can keep busy worrying about anything but what I should worry about.  Oh well! the middle east explode all by itself.
